First Blog for 2020

Well it’s only taken me 21 days but my first blog post for 2020 is finally here! Crazy fact about 2020 if your a 90s kid: 1995 is as far away as 1970 was for our parents. WHAAAAT?! January has been a hectic time for my little family following on from the crazy Christmas period. We are currently preparing for our only son to starts school in February and I can’t help but feel like I’m going to forget EVERYTHING. How on earth am I expected to be on time for school 5 days a week 😆.

First blog post for 2020 is the adorable Zyler, he slept like a log while his brothers doted over him and was such a trooper for his session, we paused for a bit while the milk bar opened which enabled Zyler to sleep a bit longer in turn let me get stuck into finishing up a few last set ups. This family is full of boys and full of love!

Rainbow baby

EEP! I’m so behind on my blogging!

I loved doing this session for this very special rainbow baby. Mackensie had a very doting big brother and a pair of incredibly loving parents, it was important to all of us that we capture them as a family together, some of just her and, of course, the all important sibling shots.

Welcome to the world baby girl!

Arlo's newborn shoot

Arlo arrived into the world at a comfortable 4.3 kgs (9 pounds 8 ounces). I don’t know what is in the water but lately all the babies who have been coming into my studio have been a mini mum 4kg or at least 55cm long - I take my hat of to the mothers who birth these babies!.

Coming into the studio were his parents Sarah and Tim and one super proud big brother Landyn - who reminded me very much of my own JJ. Mum had requested some posed photos of baby Arlo but also natural family and sibling images, I feel like the simple colours and set ups from this session really complimented this gorgeous family and we certainly had a really nice time talking about everything from work to our babies starting school next year 😭

One of the family images from this shoot also earned a bronze award in in the International Rise Photographer Awards which is an outstanding achievement!

Twins and a baby!

When Emma and I were discussing her goals for her newborn shoot she wanted to make sure we would get photos of the siblings together, one of just her 14 months old twin girls, a sleepy photo of Bub and a nice family photo. The best thing you can do as a client is to communicate your concerns, your goals and any questions you have so everyone can be relaxed and enjoy the your time in the studio!

Sibling photos can be difficult at the best of times, 14 month old twins is another ball game all together, but with a lot of team work we did it! Hats off to mum and dad, I’m sure home life can get a little bit full on but they’re obviously amazing parents to have such well behaved, gorgeous girls!

Here is a selection of their chosen images 💕
